Triage Kits and ICS Supplies
In the aftermath of a mass emergency or disaster, the scene can be chaotic with mass hysteria running rampant. The goal of first responders, CERT personal and other emergency responders is to set up staging posts for the injured including Triage units, Intensive care services and Incident Command Services to reach this goal. We offer multiple kits and supplies to help with this effort. From Basic Triage kits with labels and tape supplies, to stretchers, barricade tape and even safety vests so Emergency Personnel can be identified.
Triage is the process of determining the priority of patients' treatments based on the severity of their condition. This rations patient treatment efficiently when resources are insufficient for all to be treated immediately. Triage may result in determining the order and priority of emergency treatment, the order and priority of emergency transport, or the transport destination for the patient. Though it may seem crude, the primitive model of Triage may still be used today when having to treat mass casualties initially. That model includes:
- Those who are likely to live, regardless of what care they receive.
- Those who are likely to die, regardless of what care they receive.
- Those for whom immediate care might make a positive difference in outcome.
