C.E.R.T. Emergency Kits
The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) volunteers receive basic training in disaster preparedness and other emergency situations. To help them out specifically in the task of search and rescue, we have a line of search and rescue kits to help these volunteers be an auxiliary part of the first responder teams. The kits come in Starter, Action Response Unit and Deluxe Action Response Unit with differing content depending on the level of actions. The gear in the kits is certified to be like first responder gear, with all the emergency gear, first aid, and personal protective gear that is expected. Volunteers or not, we want to make sure we support any and every rescuer the proper way so they can perform at the highest of levels.
The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program educates people about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area and can train them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations. Using the training learned in the classroom and exercises, CERT members can assist others in their neighborhood or workplace following an event when professional responders are not immediately available to help. CERT members are also encouraged to support emergency response agencies by taking a more active role in emergency preparedness projects in their community.
