Not only is blood nasty, it is dangerous. Also remember that OSHA 29CFR1910.1030 requires Bloodborne pathogen training for many specific lines of work, but also for any employee whose job designation requires them to render first aid, even as a collateral duty. In short, if you have a first aid kit or first aid cabinet that any employee may use (and even more so if you have held CPR or First Aid Training at your workplace) you need to offer employees BBP training as well to keep them safe and to stay in strict compliance with OSHA regs.
