OSHA Laboratory Standard

A laboratory is a very complex and hazardous place of employment if standards and regulations are not followed. The products in these training materials have been created specifically to assist facilities in fulfilling their 29 CFR Part 1910 (191.1450) "OSHA Laboratory Standard" employee training requirements. These training products on The OSHA Laboratory Standard address the three major areas needed to comply with the standard which are general information about the standard itself, commonly used chemicals, and safe chemical handling. The specific topics covered include the Chemical Hygiene Plan, chemical hazard concepts, the structure of the Material Safety Data Sheet, container labeling clean up procedures and much more!

DID YOU KNOW: Twenty-five states, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands have OSHA-approved State Plans and have adopted their own standards and enforcement policies. For the most part, these states adopt standards that are identical to Federal OSHA. However, some states have adopted different standards applicable to this topic or may have different enforcement policies.
