Braces & Supports

When a person is severely injured and has head and neck injuries, the most important first step is to immobilize the head and neck area so there is no more spinal movement. This can ensure that if there is a spinal injury, it can be supported so no more injury takes place until the victim can be taken to a medical facility. We have all types of braces and support devices for any type of injury that needs to be supported and immobilized. This includes cervical braces, head immobilizers, ankle support/braces and the Speedblock head immobilizer.

Cervical collars are most commonly used to support a head or spinal trauma patient who has an acute injury or someone who is recovering from an acute injury. Did you know that cervical collars (also known as a neck brace) can also be used therapeutically for uses such as helping realign the spinal cord and relieve pain, though they are usually not worn for long periods of time for this type of orthepetic use.
